anxiety and depression questionnaire

Guidance on the use of the HAD scale, how can you have a good appetite be an indicator for depression?

I do not have the guidance notes for using the Hospital Anxiety and guest depression scale, but I saw one being used. I do not understand why "having a good appetite" scored as an indicator of depression. Surely a good appetite is normal, and either eat more or less than usual would be indicators for anxiety and depression?

Well, I know both sides, I've been very depressed and not wanting to eat and a few days. but there are times when you come out of your head and there is nothing to do in their control to eat is one of them. so I always hunger for something to do / have in mind.
