best bipolar hospitals
How can you get someone who is bipolar to recognize his illness, not in denial?
My brother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder ago one year and still not accept it. He has been hospitalized twice and is currently in hospital. It will not take their medication because they think you need. What can my parents or I do to help him realize he really has bipolar?
Nothing really. I have bipolar and am active in my attitude toward my own health, but I know others who are not very responsible. It will not accept treatment because in his mind there is nothing wrong with him, and yet refuses to acknowledge that it is a mental patient / disease and is not compatible with the taking of medication and self help. If you are under age, their parents probably could keep him in the hospital where involuntarily have no option for treatment. But if he is legally an adult, would have to convince a court that he was in immediate crisis, unable making a decision because he was not in a good state of mind and in danger of hurting himself or someone else and involuntary hospitalization necessary.
