bipolar affective disorder

It hypocritcal is for a person with schizo-affective disorder, major in psychiatry.?
I am specializing in psychiatry at the university. Do you think its hypocritical to do that when I was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder (intersection of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.) Do you that prospective patients will think badly of me when they see the scars on the wrists of failed suicide attempts?
No. I would say that their patients could think otherwise. It's easier to talk to someone when they have experienced some of these problems first hand and learned to deal with it. I think it's wonderful to have specializes in psychiatry. This will help others after graduation, and help you understand what's really happening to you better. There are so many out there who suffer from different things, such as schizoaffective disorder and bipolar … much more than I thought. I think you can really help others and pray for your success. God Bless. Your friend, Michelle
