How does Bipolar affect your romantic relationships?
I was just recently diagnosed with bipolar and I was wondering how bipolar affects your personal and romantic relationships?
I’ve been in treatment for bipolar for 8.6 years, my boyfriend of 2.8 yrs doesn’t even know I’m bipolar.
It doesn’t come up very often any more. I take my meds like I’m supposed to, I continue in group therapy and all is well.
I have depression periods and periods where I’m highly productive. I am still creative and energetic and more happy in life than I’ve ever been.
I love my boyfriend, but I love my two sons and little grandaughter most of all. They are the joy of my life. And I thank God every day for the most basic things in my life.
With treatment I’ve learned to love at a much deeper level and I don’t take it for granted anymore.
