bipolar anger

Aspergers syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder which falls within the autism spectrum.

You as a parents of asperger children should face with many behavior problems of your kids such as aggression and violent behavior, anger, depression and many other inappropriate behavior. I know it is not easy but you can overcome this much easier with the correct techniques.

1. When You Can Recognize The Main Features of Asperger Child

The main features of this disorder become obvious during early childhood and remain constant throughout life, although adaptation and degree of actual disability vary. It is very rarely recognized before the age of three, and is more common in males than females

2. Some Common Features of Aspergers Children

- Excellent rote memory

- Absorb facts easily

- Generally perform well at maths and science

- Generally anxious and unable to cope with any form of criticism or imperfection

- Can be the victims of teasing in a school environment, which may cause them to withdraw into isolated activities

- Often appear clumsy and may have an unusual gait or stance

- Often seen as a bit odd and/or eccentric

- Often have the appearance of good language but may have limited language content and poor social understanding

- Generally attend ordinary primary and secondary school

While Aspergers children have many of the features of the syndrome in common, they may vary enormously in other ways.

3. Anger and Aspergers Children

Why?

1. Part of the problem stems from a conflict between longings for social contact and an inability to be social in ways that attract friendships and relationships.

- Focus on prevention and on helping younger children develop communication skills and develop a healthy self esteem. These things can create the ability to develop relationships and friendships, lessening the chances of having issues with anger.

2. Anger can also come in Aspergers syndrome sufferers when rituals can’t get accomplished or when their need for order or symmetry can’t be met. Frustration over what doesn’t usually bother others can lead to anger and sometimes, violent outbursts.

- This kind of anger is best handled through cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on maintaining control in spite of the frustration of not having their needs met.

While it is better to teach communication skills and self esteem to the younger asperger children, communication skills and friendship skills can be taught to teens or even adults that can eliminate some of the social isolation they feel. This can avert or reverse anger symptoms.
