Are there any great self-help on and about the anxiety?
I am 17 and have anxiety problems as well as being diagnosed as bipolar. I'm afraid of being surrounded by people, if I'm okay if I'm with the person. I've been in and out of counseling since 11 and I think its time that I look for help myself myself. Nobody understands why I want to be around me alone. I have very bad anxiety attacks with people who do not know, so I have no friends and no life. I think that 20 percent of the anxiety is because I am overweight and have crooked teeth. 30 percent of it is out of habit (I've been like this for about 3 years) and the 50 percent is only the fear and mistrust of friction of human beings in general. I've been going to school online for 4 years, 5 years if I go next year. I do not want to be like this. My goal is to get rid of most August of this anxiety, so hopefully the car at least be able to enter regular school. Is there some great advice books on and about the anxiety? Thank you!
My psychologist recommended "When Panic Attacks by David Burns. I have not read it yet myself, but it has some good reviews on amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/When-Panic-Attacks-Drug-Free-Anxiety/product-reviews/0767920716/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt? ie = UTF8 & showViewpoints = 1 I am 17 and suffer from anxiety as well (inter alia). Make a goal is a good idea, provided it is not too realistic. You may be able to get rid of anxiety then, but maybe not. It is more deeply ingrained in some people than others. Good luck!
