Little is known about both diseases that are thought to be genetic or environmental. Research shows that the bipolar nature of most biological and hereditary, while the disorder Borderline Personality is more due to environmental stimuli and situations.
These similarities show that both the disease is difficult to distinguish and diagnose, physicians and psychologists, too. Anyone suffering from these symptoms should be medical or professional advice for correct diagnosis and treatment. Self diagnosis is not the best way to go about treating your symptoms, especially with bipolar and borderline personality disorder. A psychiatrist or psychologist is the best person to advise you in order for successful treatment to be prescribed, and gives you the best opportunity to manage their mental illness for a better future.
