bipolar boyfriend disappeared

Need advice on dealing with a boyfriend bi-polar manic state.?

I've been dating a guy who is 2 months and bopolar alcoholic. All was good the first 5 weeks. He explained his problems and acts normal. Last Sunday, he was acting strangely and asked if he was drinking. He denied, blaming her slurred speech on new drugs for bipolar disorder. He then disappeared for 36 hours, finally found half naked in the street, after being assaulted. His nose was broken, had a concussion, and not the memory of the past 2 days. Since then, he admitted he was drinking all the time, continued recovery, and retracted bipolar medicines. I forgave him, things were fine, until yesterday, when (after a day a horse!) said they wanted nothing to do with me and accused me of harassing you. When I told him today that it hurt, he said that his behavior is due to the Recent trauma / head injury and I am not insensitive to understand this. To me, he is obviously still in a manic phase, and is scaring. Short of writing with it, how to treat?

Manic depression is a very difficult thing to understand, but when you are in a state of low, no one can make you feel better. What you need to do is tell your doctor not taking their medication very well and is drinking. Drinking is a depressant and her boyfriend knows. Tell the doctor, and then think if you want to be with this guy. He has to help himself now. X
