bipolar children diagnosis
A 7 year old with bipolar disorder?
My stepson is 7 years old and his mother entered a mental hospital for the second time for Christmas. Affirms than when alone with her threatening to harm her and himself and throws tantrums that make it uncontrollable. We are currently in the midst of a custody dispute and trying to obtain custody of my step-son, but I'd like to know of any other person who has bipolar disorder in very young children and what types of drugs that are put in? My stepmother son will not tell us what he is on medication or even what the diagnosis is not wishing for use in the courts in their against. I wonder what you might experience if it really is bipolar in such an early age (his mother was diagnosed with severe bipolar as a teenager, but refuses to taking medication). Please help!
