bipolar children stories

Whether in the context of panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, substance dependence, or obsessive-compulsive, I never let from to be amazed by the strength and courage of the sick mind of the variance. We, yes, "" hold out much and manage to move on and face another presumed day of turmoil and despair. I was reading the Chicago Tribune this morning and found an article that illustrates very well exactly what I'm talking about. I'd like to share with you.
The story featured a 72-year-old man who began his life-altering relationship with the disorder obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at age 7. As is often the case, he knew what he was suffering from until he was 50 and that was only because their symptoms related with something that happened to have seen on television. What is even more tragic is the fact that when he described the effort to seek treatment that hooked up with a therapist who knew nothing about the treatment of OCD. So it was not until 63 years, 13 years later, he got the services of a qualified therapist and began living his life as he had always wanted.
The article details how a boy he had run his hands repeatedly on her desk school pencils and constantly rotate in and out of it. Many times he had to complete a mission, delete, and start all over again. Ultimately, it failed the fourth grade when his mother took him first to a doctor was about to start 6th grade a second time. His childhood and adolescence were filled with rituals of counting, playing and playing. And although sleep brought no relief because he had repeatedly getting out of bed, head to the dining room, and stroke a crucifix that hung on the wall. Unfortunately, he left high school.
TOC man dominated adult life. He washed in excess, and avoid eating, because he did not use the phone during certain times of day and stayed away from the streets and concrete buildings. And he was tortured by control behaviors. However, most tragically for him, never married and had children. But despite his living hell carried out, aided by personal relationships, he says saves him from the depths of isolation and despair.
These days, the man has a wonderful attitude to life, although she laments what might have been to have received an early diagnosis and treatment. Yes, it is often thought not to be able to share life with a wife, children and grandchildren. However, despite its history of life challenged and deep feelings of disappointment, is doing everything possible to help in the effort to increase awareness of this disorder in motion and changes of mind. And do so because they want anyone to suffer needlessly, as he had done.
No doubt the man was the victim of their disorder and times. I mean, considering it was 1944, when his mother took him first to a physician who is not hard to understand why their distress was not correctly diagnosed and addressed. But the real tragedy here is when seeking treatment in 1987, the "professional" who naively, that underpin the hope and help not possess the knowledge and skills to help. Nor does it mean for someone who did.
Well, the bottom line here is that this is a wonderful and brave man who deserves every happiness life can bring. My respects to you, sir! We are all very proud of you.
