bipolar discrimination
My daughter has duel disabilities & my landlord won’t put her on my lease, is this discrimination?

My daughter was diagnosed with bipolar and now with Grand Mal seizures. It is dangerous for her to live alone at this time. I want her to come here with me(MOM) but land lord said they don’t want her here because Bi Polar people are violent. But my daughter is on medication that works and shows no signs of violence….how can they do this to us…She has been here for 4 months. Landlady said she has to be out by Sept 30th or I will be evicted for having company not on the lease….We need a pro bono lawyer but can’t find one. I am fully disabled and $800. a month can’t pay a lawyer. We have checked all other options and agencies…no luck simply because they have no funds….Can any one help ? Do you know any one ? please help us…

No. They cannot do this. Your best bet is to contact the ACLU. Also contact your local news stations. Bring as much publicity to this as you can and I would bet that the landlord would not want this info going public. Also, if you get it out in the news, you may have an attorney contact you to represent you pro bono.
