How to deal with Bipolar-disorder without medications?

I constantly go from feeling depressed and useless to feeling normal and calm. I kind of tired having the feeling as if I live in a box. I also get really angry sometimes, but I keep it concealed, but hate having that type of illumination.

What kind of activities can I participate in to keep my mind busy? I’m 19 and attend college. I’m a male if that also helps…

But please do not recommend medications because I cannot afford that type of help and I rather handle this naturally. What types of activates can I involve myself in to remain active?
John if you read my user name you can see I’m close to God already. And I follow Yahweh, not Jesus. I love Jesus, but he does not receive my worship. But yes indeed God is my salvation. But I really desire some activity’s to do to beguile my mind from bipolar disorder.

I am in the same situation – only I am female and a few years older.

On days that I am especially depressed or stressed/angry I work out. After I get a nice cardio workout I (usually) feel better.

Ride a bike. If you don’t have one, go to the local thrift shop and buy one for cheap. Borrow one from a friend if you have to.
Run. Do an exercise video. Join a karate class. Anything to get your heart pumping for around 30 minutes a day.

Another thing I have noticed – I feel better when I take fish oil and my multi-vitamins. You can easily find both for under $20 at Walmart or Walgreens.
