bipolar disorder symptoms and signs
I think my partner is bipolar? Is it possible to have bipolar and not have suicidal thoughts?
My partner experiences many of the signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder. The one symptom he is lacking is suicidal thoughts – he’s irritable, has severe mood swings – both highs and lows, indifferent, and has somewhat grandiosity about himself? Is it possible to be diagnosed bipolar if you do not experience the symptoms such as thoughts of suicide, hopelessness, worry, etc…
Do you think he could be denying suicidal thoughts at all?
He might have symptoms of bipolar where he experiences many more of the unexpected and impulsive highs instead of the dreadful depressing and suicidal lows. I read an interview of a woman who was completely impulsive and then all of a sudden would get very upset and angry but hardly ever had suicidal thoughts.. She was just hard to live with.
I think you should talk to your husband and see a doctor together so each of you know exactly what’s going on.
