bipolar family member

Do you know anyone who is bipolar?
I just want to know what its like having a bipolar family member or friend because my parents keep telling me that its really hard.. and I can be hurtful sometimes even with medicine
what do u mean Joe F?
In the first place, if your parents keep telling you that its really hard..(to live with you – someone who is bipolar), remember their difficulty is nothing compared to YOUR difficulty actually being bipolar.
In the second place, non-bipolar people can be very hurtful, too…that’s not a bipolar behavior, that’s a human behavior.
I know a couple of people who are bi-polar. They do ok or better than ok as long as they stay on their medication.
A typical problem with bi-polar people is that they get put on medication, they begin to feel better, so they stop taking their medication, and they are back to square one.
You should consider finding a good therapist for talk therapy – if you find a good one you click with, they can be a tremendous help in regards to modifying/changing your behavior.
