Manic depression is now known as bipolar affective disorder, a mood disorder of which there are millions of sufferers. Having help at hand to make the mood chart can be difficult. Seek the help of a trusted friend or family member. Alternatively, speak to a therapist or health professional, you can get their views and understand what they see. This can help you pick the things that can not be noticed.
By working as triggers for mood swings, you can plan the best way to avoid these situations. Efforts are needed to get rid of bad habits, to help your family and friends aware of their struggles, especially those who are strong enough to help you muddle through, and they understand best.
Some people can go for years without being diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder. Many do not seek professional help, such as laboratory tests need not be carried out, as for other diseases. 4. Stabilizing state of mind – medicine that may facilitate or delay to alleviate depression and mania episodes.
ECT is only used as a therapy to help those who have major depression and manic symptoms. It is effective to reduce mood instability and cycling, and also helps minimize symptoms bipolar disorder and side effects of the treatment administered. A bipolar patient can resume a normal life with a good management plan.
