If that was not bad enough that our son had ADHD who now are told they have bipolar disorder!

Again, just when I thought I had a handle of what ADHD is and how to begin to deal with it, hit us with this news.

To be honest we knew something was wrong by all that made in learning that he had finally bipolar disorder.

Things like using the door like a punching bag for the head when they got away with it! I'm stretching the truth for a moment, when I tell you would just sit there and hit his head on the basement door, using it as a punching bag until finally feared for his safety and gave in

I know we made the critical mistake of giving in to him, but he did often and hard.

This was only one of the symptoms of bipolar disorder that is displayed. It was very challenging and not get up for school. Actually it would withdraw his covers over his head as if to hide. This was when I was in sixth grade.

Now I can hear most of you say why not just force him?

Believe me when I say that your mother and I tried everything, including force. Now keep in mind that I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps USA, so I know a little about forcing someone to do something.

I would be inclined to his bed more than dumping him onto the floor! I want to pour cold water on him! I would throw buckets of ice in your bed! We want loud music you do not like! We threatened him with almost everything we could think.

Bipolar disorder is just another setback for us in a long series of challenges that we face.

Before he took the doctor, who recommended all sorts of things here were bipolar disorder symptoms we saw.

Again, the use of solid objects as punching bags in the head! In and out of depression! The horrible sleep habits! Very challenging! Would undertake to do anything to get what he wanted and then blow his! I do not understand at all the consequences! Lived in the moment! Focused on something and could not take away from her!

Note that I am not a doctor! My wife and I are just parents who want to solve The problem with our son.

In my next post I will talk about when considering the placement of our son in a group home because we just do not know what else to do! Talk about a sad situation!

Thank you and God bless you!
