bipolar ii disorder dsm

Do you agree with the general stigma about bipolar disorder?

I often hear many people say that bipolar I is 'more serious' that bipolar II, but I'm not sure of the accuracy of this statement (which I do not think that is designated as such in DSM IV, but I could be wrong out of hand). I thought that one was bipolar and bipolar mania, one was depressed, and that difference was that the state of the person who is more rather than the severity of the disease. This observation is correct or is actually more serious than the other? Is it just depends on your definition of 'serious', ie have a tendency bipolar manic with thoughts of harming greatness, but bipolar depression may attempt suicide several times / succeed? (I also Posted in psychology, but it seems that many people are there to do the task)

Some psychiatrists believe that Bipolar II is more serious! They can not seem to adhere to any theory – Lol. Both types can hurt when mania / hypomania and depressive states. There is a fine line between the two now. Many of the documents now consider a spectrum bipolar. In other words 1 to 10, can fall anywhere in between. Having a bit of this and a bit of that. You do not have to be a 1 or a perfect perfect 10 to identify you. For example, you may have with bipolar II depression and psychotic behavior. Psychotic before they are classified only for bipolar I. It has changed. It should only call it bipolar or manic depression re-original!

AH! One man’s opinon of the DSM-IV
