Are there any parents who have children with early-onset bipolar disorder?

My child has been tentatively diagnosed with early onset of disorder bipolar. He is 10 years old. Previously, he was diagnosed (at great expense) with ADHD. I fear for their future and there is little information out there about how effectively the father of a bipolar child. Anyone have any experience with this? Tips, suggestions, advice?

Mickjam … For the DSM does not indicate how old bipolar can begin – And in fact there is no pediatric bipolar and DSM V is due out in 2011 with many changes. It's a good chance of MSW is included. In addition, DSM is the only book in the U.S., the rest of the world uses other references – do not be so ethnocentric?
