Daughter diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, what have I done wrong?
My 17 year old daughter has been diagnosed with personality disorder borderline and narcissistic tendencies. I'm no psychologist and knowledge of my knowledge of psychology is limited to bipolar disorder and OCD. I did some research about the disorder and what I found startled me. It saddens me to think that this is what my son goes through daily and have no way to stop this. My daughter plays musical instruments nice, how can someone who makes a sound so beautiful that so much internal disorder? I feel like if I did something wrong, somewhere I missed something with it. The worst for me it probably will for the rest of his life. I have tried very hard to be a good father, loving and providing a supportive environment for her. Is there someone I can say a little more about the disease and the causes of it? Any advice at all. Thanks

Ask your therapist family, if your hospital has a support group for you. There is even a Yahoo group dedicated to the BPD. It has all kinds of members, friends of BPD BPD mothers, children BPD and spouses of BPD. future: a pile of broken relationships and possibly divorce. She can turn on you and the rest of his family – his brothers, father, cousins. One can lie and divide your family against him. If you have children, be a point of stabilization of their grandchildren. They need it. You have my thoughts and prayers.
