Schizophrenia is a brain disease that affects men in their early twenties and women in their thirties. That affects the way social interaction, reasoning, logic, and encouragement. It is assumed that an excess of dopamine and glutamate contribute to schizophrenia. Another hypothesis about the causes of schizophrenia is due to stress during pregnancy. Low levels of oxygen during delivery, prenatal exposure to a viral infection and other forms that induce stress levels during pregnancy may trigger the production of the hormone cortisol, which can be one of the triggers of schizophrenia.
