bipolar long term

What is a long-term strategy to address mental illness?
Assuming you have a diagnosis (eg bipolar) and is receiving treatment from a psychiatrist and therapist, what other means of prevention and maintenaince of good mental health is available?
I think a good way to control our mind is Yoga and Meditation These are as aromatherapy and oriental arts, such as aromatherapy, have existed for thousands of years. People in the West all tend to want to hurry along, which may be one reason why they are much more stressed than people in the East. Yoga involves a series of stretching exercises that are designed to allow you to concentrate on something other than itself. Meditation is the process of clearing your mind of negative thoughts and concentrate on nothing. Both are equally effective to calm down if you understand how to use these techniques to relieve stress. Yoga and meditation more or less Just as exercise, cleaning and counting do to relieve stress – that draw attention from the stressful situation and something more. This is the secret to stress management – to focus on something positive or neutral. Once you have learned to use these techniques to relieve stress, you can then work in control of how to react to stress.
