Bipolar Boyfriend?
I've been with this kind of off and on for three years … we dated, broke, broke date, etc. mostly because of his mood swings. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a child and experiences mood swings from time to time. Usually he is happy, cheerful, funny, strange, and ridiculous, but gets into moods where all depressed and isolated himself, only to leave it more later and apologize. I have tried to bring this to their attention, but they barely recognized that, most probably because of embarrassment. What I ask is this, I I love him more than anyone and want to be there for him, but how to deal with moments when he becomes so depressed and sad and pushes everyone?
If the man is on drugs and the advice below, are for him. If not then leave it up to look for help and is actively involved with it. Until then … and the only time I listen to what a man says he is when he says "leave me alone" and that is the only time a woman must listen to the words of a man.
