bipolar new zealand
We are Irish immigrants living in New Zealand now face forclosure bank in our home. What should we do?

Having emigrated to New Zealand two years ago with $ 500,000 New Zealanders in our pockets and not a business, we now face eviction and foreclosure on our house. My husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after becoming suicidal after the business collapsed. We use our home as collateral for a business loan of 150,000 dollars for the purchase of the company. Our bank manager husband just kept increasing my overdraft facility of $ 20,000 to $ 100,000 in a matter of months. I was director of the equality, but I knew nothing about mounting debt. My husband had everything about me. We have three young children who have been affected by this horrible experience. I feel cheated that we had security and the bank manager should have seen warning signs. My husband was mentally ill at the time and now feels like we'll have to pay for a bad year for the rest of our lives. Does anyone have suggestions on how we can dig ourselves out of this mess?

Yes, see a lawyer. But do not blame the bank for her husband's illness or decisions made. It was he who was cheating and now says he is mentally ill. My ex did the divorce court …. because he will not take any responsibility for what he said or did.
