Omega 3 fatty acids are fatty acids that are essential to our health. It can also help reduce the risk of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, bipolar disorder, deficit attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders like anorexia nervosa, skin disorders, asthma, macular degeneration, menstrual pain, the cancer and schizophrenia. Apparently, they are more beneficial for people with heart disease and other related health complications. A person in a well balanced diet have higher cholesterol levels and reduce triglycerides and bad cholesterol level. In addition, EPA can help raise the level of calcium in the body, deposit calcium and bone strength.

These are also beneficial for overweight people and poor blood sugar control, cholesterol high and diabetes. In fact, there are trials that suggest that the combination of these acid-rich fish like salmon, mackerel and herring in the diet can help to control blood sugar and cholesterol levels. In addition, omega-3 fatty acids appear to be capable of protect the body from infections and various conditions such as autism, emphysema and lupus.
