bipolar san diego
Can someone with bipolar disorder following a career as an EMT paramedic?

I have bipolar disorder and am taking medication for it, is completely least some control of insomnia. does this matter if you want to become an EMT? Besides, this varies by state and / or city? I live in San Diego

It would be discrimination to not hire you because of your condition (if one could prove he was the reason they are not contracted). Bipolar disorder, when controls, does not inhibit their ability to perform the necessary duties of his job. In fact, you do not have to reveal that you have bipolar disorder to your employer. . . its record doctor is confidential. bipolar disorder and I'm an RN, has never been a problem. I never mentioned my employer or coworkers, and nobody knows. It is your responsibility.
