bipolar screening

Why a Psychiatrist person turn away after a review of the phone?
I did a review on the phone with the secretary of a psychiatrist, last week. I am bipolar and have fallen in the past (not currently and have suicidal thoughts, neither at present). They have never been hospitalized for my illness mental. He called me today and said that unfortunately could not take a. When I asked why she said she did not know, that's what the doctor had decided. I was very polite during the selection process and the truth. I though only pts asked what kind of doctor sees this and could not even tell me that. Why would turn me away? Any ideas?
The psychiatrist has probably worked with a different population in his career so far. Think of the injustice that would for you if he / she would have in his case, not knowing enough about the court or bipolar disorder to help REALLY. It's something that you are not comfortable and probably would more harm than good to take somebody who is not 100% sure of their skills. Maybe focus on people with sexual addiction, schizophrenia, eating disorders adaptation, developmental disorders, etc … dont take it personal. It has nothing to do with you. Try to find a practice that specializes in the challenges it is facing. It would be the most useful thing that could advise him to do.
