wife is bipolar?
My wife recently was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2. Since January has been on numerous antidepressants and mood stabilizers. In is currently taking Lamictal and Lexapro Xanax with one or two daily. She filed for divorce and made other small decisions that show that their reasoning and the trial is not what it was. We have two kids and I will fight her on the issue of custody. I had a couple of visits to a psychiatrist who finally dismissed for failure with his treatment program. He is currently receiving their prescriptions from our primary care physician (MD general). My question is this. Without some form of therapy she probably could get worse? The drugs seem to be behaving better fashio but I understand that Lamictal is really just a short term solution. I've learned to note that the stage of hypomania may be very subtle and usually appears as mild agitation mixed with some impulse purchases.
I sympathize with you. state with my 2 bipolar for 16 years. you can not cure it says all of his psyche. You must be totally committed to his cause that will push your buttons. mine has been treated as 50 drugs before finding one that worked for her. just cause it works for one does not mean it'll work for others. ………………………
