School accommodation bipolar?

I'm about to start college again after a semester withdrawn because of serious problems of bipolar disorder. I am an ultra-fast thermal cycler and often have great problems in the classroom and after school, and I wonder if there's anyway to get accommodation for this sort of thing. Are there benefits to be obtained through the institution or is there anything I can do personally to help maintain my power to handle stressors school again?

Hello, an excellent article, with information about this topic can be found at: Bed http://www.bipolarworld.net/job_school/j30.htm like this are called "academic adjustments" in the college / university, and unlike primary and middle / high school, these settings are not mandatory. However, Most institutions will try to accommodate you in "reasonable" ways (see article for some ways). You should also know that if their problems are disrupting the class or prevent others from learning, they may ask you to leave the class that day, or drop it entirely if you continue. Understanding the psychology and social work programs are generally more of this, because it is what everyone is studying and working to help. Good luck, hope you have all the success in school.
