All you have to do is read some blogs will soon be ADHD and that the problems that some children have in taking psychostimulant medication for ADHD is disturbing to say the least. The FDA not timidly states had a "small but statistically significant" risk of suicidal thoughts among children and adolescents ADHD take this medicine?
And as if that were not enough, reading the leaflet inside the box of Strattera, which face a daunting list of problems to be controlled. Of course, the percentage of cases is small, but liver function, heart problems (these are called cardiovascular events!) Well, nobody knows exactly how Strattera, but as seems to keep kids calmer no one seems too concerned, well, side effects of Strattera, will be played by the pharmaceutical company to do, and also the FDA. What we do know is that the drug stimulates a brain hormone called noradrenaline (a cousin of adrenaline) and presto, hyperactivity, restlessness and concentrate on the tasks they are all under control. There are more impulsive behavior and anxiety – but at what price?
