Bipolar disorder: a mood disorder involving manic episodes-intensive and very disturbing experiences heigtened mood, possibly alternating with major depressive episodes. Bipolar I Disorder: Diagnosis describle used for a course clinic where the individual experience of one or more manic episodes with the possibility, though not the necessity, of having experienced one or more depressive episodes higher. Bipolar II disorder: The diagnosis is used to describe a clinical course in which the individual experiences of one or more major depressive episodes and at least one hypomanic episode.
