I think my husband is "gaslighting self.?
I think my husband has been "gaslighting self. I do not know if even realizes or not (I did not realize I can), but the signs and the wounded were there to show what is happening. The two are Christians and we firmly believe in the Bible and that divorce is not an option. He believes that "I" is the problem! He thinks I'm bipolar! That is one of the signs of "gaslighting" …. trying to make you believe that the mental disorder. I feel trapped and miserable ….. What should I do ??????? Have you tried talking to your pastor? If not with her husband, only for yourself? If it is really "gaslighting" then that is not following the guidelines of a Christian marriage. This is a cruel form of control. Remember, the Bible says that husbands must remember that a good woman is hard to find and is more valuable than a ruby (Proverbs 3:15). God did not intend for us to be miserable in life. He wanted us to find helpers that make life more enjoyable.
