how to control bipolar disorder
Anyone have experience taking lithium for bipolar disorder?
I've tried so many drugs in an attempt to control my bipolar disorder, but nothing seems to help or has the hellish side effects. I would like to give lithium a go, but my psychaitrist is reluctant. I am predominantly affected by depression, but of course fast. Does anyone have any experience of lithium, good or bad?
Many people have success with a combination of lithium or mood stabilizers. Also I've heard good things about Lamictal. Requires lithium blood levels be monitored. Any time you start a medication, you will have side effects, but often will decline. Maybe you can go to a BP website online data processing. They often have messageboardss and such. My 8 year old is a victim — who has received relief with Lamictal, Trileptal and Seroquel. I hope you get better soon
