Bipolar bar you get a security clearance?
My friend is a Gov't. contractor from another company. He has bipolar, but always has been under control, provided that they know (about 11 years). His work wants to apply for security clearance at the Top Secret. He does not want because believes it will be automatically denied due to the bipolar. Is this true? Never heard this before.
Security clearances depend on different things and Bipolar can be certainly one of them. I agree everything should be disclosed, because if you are caught in a lie that NEVER get any permits and any other has will be revoked. It really depends on how the researcher to write and the way the doctor writes it up.
