Tips for making small talk with women.?

I’m a smart, well educated, traveled cultured person. I’m an artist and I show my work in NYC, Chicago, and LA. I teach painting and drawing on the side at colleges and universities. In years past, I’ve even been “charming” with women.

But now, I mostly recluse and spend my time in isolation. This goes with Bipolar complex I have. I wouldn’t even know how to “pick up” a girl, these days. I am 29. I was just wondering what tips you might have for small talk or developing friendships. When I talk, I tend to stay in some abstract theoretical realm, not chit-chatty. It’d be nice to enjoy that normal kind of interaction that consists of most people’s days, but I can’t seem to penetrate it or find interest.

Help?

well you first have to figure out what kind of women you want to meet. if you are traveled, cultured, and well educated why not go to a place with like minded women. perhaps a museum, art gallery, or join a book club. if you want a party girl go to a bar and find the drunkest one there. maybe online dating could work. little pressure, and you can search by interests and common values. plus getting to know someone online is easier then a face to face to start. i have three very close friends that are women that i have met online. first figure out what you want , then find out where they are. then get your ass there!
