lamictal and bipolar depression

I have bipolar and panic disorder … Lamictal does not worsen the panic?

I've suffered from depression most of my life. Recently, my doctor I changed the diagnosis of bipolar disorder and started me on Lamictal. Since then, I had daily anxiety / panic attacks. I'm not sure if the Lamictal is working, because it is in a state of panic increases my moodiness and irritability. I'm so frustrated!

A promising drug for epilepsy bipolar disorder is lamotrigine (Lamictal), which was originally derived from a drug against malaria. It seems to be beneficial for both manic and depressive phases. Also can be effective alone or in combination with other drugs for rapid cycling. The most common reason for withdrawal of the drug is to develop a rash, what happens in 10% of patients taking lamotrigine. Other possible side effects include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and drowsiness.
