lamictal bipolar disorder
Has anyone had any positive or negative experience with Lamictal to help in the treatment of bipolar disorder?
I am taking 3 g of EPA and DHA, in addition of Wellbutrin with Effexor and Clonazepam for my anxiety. Thanks for your help and God bless! My psychiatrist says that Lamictal was one of the 3 drugs proved effective in the treatment bipolar disorder
I was looking here to help people with bipolar disorder, because I do. When I heard your question i was particularly happy. I've been on Lamictal for about 2 years, the fact that not prescribed for bipolar sucks. I do not understand seizures and I've never gotten one. Lamictal works great for me, controls my mood, and definitely notice a difference when I do not take it. I can be angry and very temperamental. I myself take now three ADHD drugs and disorder bipolar, and the combination of i does not work splendidly. I really admire my psychiatrist and medications I am. The disadvantage of Lamictal is that there is a chance of getting a rash, so if you are prescribed Lamictal, and I'm no doctor, but make sure you and your doctor will increase the dose gradually to prevent this rash. I've never gotten one, and I'm very grateful. The rash is also very rare but can happen. Your doctor should advise you not to eat anything different or any use of detergents clothing because the medication must be stopped if a rash occurs. For me, this would be especially bad because it helped me a lot. It is probably the most effective and necessary part of the three drugs I am.
