lamictal bipolar reviews

Questions on bipolar meds while pregnant?

I am thirty years old. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at seventeen. My husbabnd and I would love to have a baby but we are both concerned about the outcome with being on medication. I have gotten mixed reviews on staying on meds or not. I am on lamictal, paxil, and tegretol. Any advice?

I against medical advise stopped taking my meds for Bi-polar..I a few months before my most recent baby was conceived I had a miscarriage and I feel it may have been from these drugs I am prescribed for my Bi-polar condition. My significant other knows the signs of me starting to turn bad and monitored me, but i did remarkable well while pregnant and on no meds..Maybe the euphoria of pregnancy caused this I don’t know. It is up to you..If your Husband can “read” you and know when to get you to help then try to not be on meds. Discuss with you mental health practitioner and with an OB/GYN and sometime they can keep you on a lower dose or change you up for the pregnancy
I just immediatley got back on a regiment after the birth since that is most risky time(just a lower dose since I wanted to breast feed)
