Lamictal is approved for long-term treatment of bipolar?
I've been taking Lamictal for treating bipolar 1 disorder for almost 4 years. I tried to get off the stuff, but withdrawal symptoms are unbearable. That and the fact that nothing else seems to work. I know a couple of drugs are approved for long-term use. Does anyone know if Lamictal is one of them? If I can not get much damage will this do to my system? What Lamictal cause other problems with long-term use?
I've been taking Lamictal for five years. I do not know how long "long term", but I never heard anything like my psychiatrist.
