lamictal dosage bipolar

Could this have something to do with my bad reaction to Geodon with Lamictal?

I had not thought about it until now. When I was diagnosed with the disorder Bipolar II psychiatrist prescribed Geodon (80mg) and I started on Lamictal, starting with a low dose and work my way to a full one. After my reaction (which I'm coming in a moment) I read that people often work my dose of Geodon. Could be part of that mood, because the drug is starting stabalizing low, so it is important to maintain a similar level to prevent a person from being thrown to the hobby or something? I could be totally out … just curious. The reaction involved majorly excessive sleepiness, nausea, blurred vision, and after about 4 days very high blood pressure and anxiety, Dialated students and stuff. I ended up in the emergency room because I thought I would die – was a horrible experience. Leaving medicine was very bad, although I only has been on them for 4 or 5 days. Should my dose Geodon have worked at or was probably just the wrong drug for me?

Ask your doctor all these questions. Geodon is an ideal drug for which it works. Unfortunately, it may not work for everyone. Since bipolar disorder is a chemical imbalance in the brain, drugs are prescribed for this are BNY trial and error. You can go through several medications before finding the right one for you. The good news is that once you've found medications for you that will work for you for a long time. Hold on and let the doc know about the side effects immediately.
