lithium bipolar ii
I ask my doctor for a particular drug, which is not like that when patients do this?
I was diagnosed as bipolar II, 3 weeks ago. My psychiatrist prescribed lithium and I hate me, cause me nausea and stomach pain without end. I have read great things about Lamictal, how do I ask my docotr change without sounding like a know-it-all? Thanks in advance!
Is supposed to provide information and correspondence to your doctor! If they are good they will listen to you. Let them know that their symptoms and to know that not have been investigating different things about Lamictal and bipolar heard … and ask if you can change and try that …. while youre at it though, ask him what the side effects in the short and long term, etc … Find out more!
If they say no, ask why, and then I say this is not fair compensation for the symptoms .. nausea and stomach pain … It's your body, you have this right. I did it with my dermatologist, remained the prescription to find the right medicine … from what I understand with bipolar some go through many medications before finding the right one …. If this doctor is not cooperative you may want to consider a 2nd opinion …
