Bipolar disorder is a disease?
I have bipolar disorder 1, so does that mean I have a disease or mental illness?
It's sort of both depending on the definition of the disease. I would call it a mental illness, however. I have bipolar disorder, and saw it as a gift hidden. I never want it to anyone, and yet I would not wish that did not. It gives me great knowledge and different perspectives on life. If you want to talk, e-mail me (go to my profile)
