my girlfriend suffers from bipolar and lives in a world of lies and fantasies is it safe to be with her or go?
she refuses help of any kind and always lies to me ie her x hubby will kill me she also is carrying my child although i suspect she wants to look after the child on her own to prove that she can, is she just simply a nasty women or just highly delusional and is it best to leave her or suffer the relationship ( if u can call it that )
If she’s not getting help then you can’t be expected to hang around and put up with this.
Ask her to see a doctor. Medication and therapy can make a huge difference to people with bipolar disorder, and the correct medication can make a person more or less symptom-free.
I don’t know if what she tells you about her ex is lies or delusions. If it’s delusions then she’s psychotic and seriously needs help.
If she refuses to get help, then leave her. If she was getting help, it’d be different, but she’s not and you can’t be expected to put up with this.
Apply for custody of the child, too. A person with untreated bipolar disorder – especially if they have psychotic tendencies – is in no position to raise a child alone.
