Has anyone out detoxifies Neurontin?
I've been taking 3600 mg a day for a year for bipolar and have decided to taper off. I have a lot of strange side effects and wondered if anyone has taken this much, has managed to go completely out of it. I would also like to know if you have any side effects, what kind and how long it lasted. This is a drug so bad and I want out of my system.
Lowering too fast and without the guidance of a doctor could lead to seizures. Please consult your doctor for a weaning program. Technically, there is no de-tox to Neurontin, as there addiction or medication toxicity. In fact, when you take that medicine, medication urine unchanged, unlike drugs your body metabolizes other chemicals. If I were to wean the drug very quickly, and have an attack, you could lose your driving privleges for 6 months to a year, seriously wounded and possibly killed. Be careful!
