Imagine if your child's ADHD could be controlled or eliminated, without long-term risks of ADHD medication. The combination of diet ADHD with some of the many available natural resources allows it to address the underlying causes of ADHD and not just their symptoms. Here are some proven ideas to help to design an effective diet for your child's ADHD.

1. Fruits and vegetables should be the basis of any diet for ADHD. Be sure to exclude products containing salicylates (almonds, apples, apricots, strawberries, cherries, cucumbers, currants, oranges, peaches, peppers, plums, prunes and tomatoes).

2. Include a lot of cold water fish. Fish is rich in essential fatty acids, which are necessary for healthy brain functioning and development. Children with ADHD are often deficient in EFA. Beware of mercury pollution and choose fish as wild caught salmon.

3. Remove simple carbohydrate diet ADHD child. It is found in sugar, juice and refined grains and processed. ADHD children have been shown to have difficulty processing simple sugars.

4. See if your child experiences an improvement compared to a diet rich in (quality!) Proteins. Many parents have found a low-carbohydrate, protein-rich breakfast is especially helpful.

5. Food labels and to exclude any food with artificial colors and preservatives. Recent British studies have clearly demonstrated that the dyes and preservatives lead to hyperactive behavior and less attention installments. Even the British government now warns parents that the additives can improve ADHD.

6. The following foods often cause allergies: wheat, corn, eggs, sometimes without gluten containing grains (rye, barley), milk and dairy products. Food allergies can result in biochemical changes, resulting in restlessness, inattention and even depression. Experiment and see how these foods affect your child. As a rule, are best left completely out of ADHD diet.

7. Eliminate soda. Soft drinks not only contain large amounts of sugar, colorings and preservatives, but also a large amount of phosphates. Phosphate additives have been linked to exaggerated muscle activity.

8. Try probiotic supplements. The beneficial bacteria that contain helps to improve digestion and absorption of nutrients from food.

9. Be attentive to MSG and aspartame. Both can cause neurological problems in some people and should be avoided in the diets ADHD.

10. High levels of phosphorus and low levels Calcium and magnesium have been linked to hyperactivity. Diet for ADHD should limit foods containing phosphorus (such as meat and fat) and contain a lot of food containing calcium and magnesium (nuts, seeds, dark leafy greens).

Your next step? Go to the pantry and get rid of all the elements that have no place in the diet of your child's ADHD: sugary foods, foods high in refined starch, sugar and diet sodas, anything with artificial colors and preservatives. Stock up on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, vegetables and fish low in mercury. And do not forget that, as powerful as it is, diet for ADHD is only one part of a natural holistic approach to the treatment of this disorder. Natural remedies, supplements and counseling should be explored and, if we can offer our children the best chance to beat ADHD.
