parents bipolar disorder

Do you suffer from bipolar disorder and is a member of a support group?
My city does not have a support group for people with mental illness (yet). My parents, however, joined NAMI in the area for people who have loved ones with mental illness. I wonder what focus groups and the how they perform in your area. NAMI I'm wanting to talk to and get something started in my town. Peace!
Ask your chapter of NAMI depression Bipolar Support local and Alliance (DBSA). They have support groups almost everywhere. Each group is a little different. The one I go to is working very well. Some are less so. Each serves an audience. Mine starts with the introduction, including name, diagnosis, medications, and sometimes an answer to a question outside the wall. Meanwhile, a platform question goes around the room for PPL to ask anonymously what they want to ask. The mod reads the questions and discussion ensues. Sometimes there is a lot of PPL, sometimes a few. It is always turnover. It's a come as you want and being late is OK. The rules should be respectful that only comes Naturally, the crowd and no discussion about doctors. Oh, yes, I have bipolar, too.
