Manic Depression and bipolar are exactly the same, bipolar is just an updated name for manic depression. I am bipolar, and yes being a "pathological liar" is a symptom of this disorder or it can be. People suffering from bipolar seem to lie or exaggerate the truth a lot! My friend who is also bipolar and greatly exaggerates the things. I lie a lot.
