What are some anti-manic good that you do not become a zombie?
I have bipolar II disorder and recently changed its course. I usually have my mania hypomania but now seems more and comes with gusts of anxiety. Recently I started Abilify, which I hate. I took it before and made me a zombie. I also take Lithium Carbonate. I read Abilify and lithium can interact and cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome. I thought of using Abilify only only when I'm experiencing mania. At this point, is established on a daily basis. I can not take Risperdal and Lamictal because I also have epilepsy. What else is left? I have to find a antimanic. Can anyone respond with an antimanic drug list so I can research them? Thanks
Carbamazepine Tegretol helps me, especially with mania. It can have a drowsy so taking as little as possible is essential. But zyprexa is my drug of choice Carcinogenic for mania, but I get off when I feel more stable because it makes me zombifying and win a lot of weight. For me I zombifying taking medication when in trouble, but cut when stable, I hope that everyone can do this, but everyone is different. You can ask your doc on Tegretol, but of course they all have different symptoms and body chemistry. good luck
