bipolar panic attacks

Panic attacks where you can’t breathe?
My gf has been having problems for the past few months where she gets horrible daily panic attacks, and they get to the point where she can’t breathe, and she gets horribly shaken up. She said that she feels like her heart does this weird skippy thing too, and her chest momentarily locks up. What could this mean?
Also, she’s bipolar – so could this be an addition to bipolar?
She should be on a anti anxiety medicine. Is she on medicine for bipolar? Alot of those medincines include anxiety control. Maybe she should talk to her Doctor about the attacks.
