bipolar disorder can you get disability payments?

I know someone who has bipolar disorder… can they get social security disability payments for bipolar disorder? If so are they partial benefits or full benefits?

They have a hard time holding down a job because of their bipolar disorder and I wanted to give him some resources on how to get this type of benefit if he qualifies for it.

Thanks

Yes you can get benefits for bipolar disorder… if you can get through the bureaucracy of social security. As with any government agency you are likely to get the run around and hear different stories of what you can get and what you can’t get from bipolar disorder disability benefits.

From what I have read recently on this you may be eligible for some or all of these benefits…

1) up to $1400 in monthly payments until your regular social security kicks in.

2) additional monies for your spouse and children if needed.

3) Medicare or Medicaid to cover your doctor and hospital visits along with any prescriptions needed in helping you get back to normal.

These benefits were put in place as bipolar disorder can effect all aspects of your life and can be devastating for you and your family if not treated.

I found a site that was made by someone who fought the bureaucracy and can guide you through all the mazes to getting your disability payments started as soon as possible here http://www.atbuz.com/bpd
