Do you think that once depressed people can change their lives by changing how they think?
I understand depression, bipolar disorder and other diseases embalances psychiatric disorders are caused by chemicals and need to be treated. But for the average Joe who is depressed, do you think changing the way they think could help change their lives? Jillian Michaels of biggest loser motivates many people with these techniques on changing themselves and not worry about the past anymore because are not making good decisions and setting goals and really inspired me.
OK, change your thinking can change your life whether good or bad. When you feel as I do often due to a break I say that this is a step towards what will be in life. We take each day as it comes, yesterday has come and gone, but today is today and tomorrow begins to shine. Be positive in life to be positive about yourself. Love yourself and love others. When you feel your going down and then find a friend you can call or go see him and just talk to them. I've been looking for someone who can speak with my feelings. Someone I can be open do not know me and can only listen. If you have anything to say thats great, but if not, at least, I have to vent to someone. I also write things when Im starting to feel down. I'll lift the floor and start typing my feelings then fall below what I wrote and I will look at each topic and then write what I do to improve this problem, what can I do to get around. There is good and bad things about everything … Life is not supposed to be easy. Be true to yourself and enjoy life, you have a chance to make it work and be happy, why do you want to waste with feelings of depression. I say the same when I get even more often now that im 3 weeks of a relationship, but every day improvement and each day is another that I survived. I know things will get better, just takes time. You said Jillian Michaels inspires you, and look and see if you have books or videos YouTube to see when you sit down. That's a good thing to do. Find others who do that for you too. People not only famous, but friends and family also. Hit me up if you need to talk, anytime! Take care and God Bless
